Nearshore outsourcing is the practice of subcontracting to a company or another organization nearby for services that are usually performed in-house. The term is typically used in relation to outsourcing work to a country that is not too far away, like the U.S., Canada, or Mexico or those in the same time zone as the client’s own. This is in contrast to outsourcing to a company in a far-off time zone, known as offshore outsourcing.
The advantages of this arrangement are many. For one thing, you get to deal with a firm that is culturally close to your own. This means that you will be able to work better with your partner since your company’s culture is similar to theirs. In this way, your team will be able to communicate much more easily which leads to faster decision-making and better communication with your clients. In addition, you will be able to get your job done much faster because the time difference is minimal.
